Your Aircraft Options

Medical Express International, Inc. provides a fleet of aircraft that are exclusively dedicated for air medical transport. Medical Express will work with you to determine which aircraft is appropriate for your needs. There are generally 3 types of aircraft used for air ambulance services.

Pressurized Twin Engine Aircraft
This twin engine piston propeller aircraft is pressurized for your comfort. These are used for shorter trips. Cruise speed is 250 MPH. Usually one passenger can accompany the patient. Twin engine aircraft are generally the least expensive option.

Turbo Jet Aircraft
The twin turbo jet aircraft is propeller driven and also pressurized for your comfort. It is typically used for mid-range trips and is capable of flying over most unfavorable weather patterns.

Jet Aircraft
These planes have two fan jet engines and are the fastest and have the longest range. Jet aircraft can fly at commercial aircraft altitudes allowing them to fly over 90% of bad weather patterns. These planes fly very fast and are used for long range flights. They are a must when time is of the essence.
